iTEAM are very proud to bring a brilliant little device to market for you to improve both voice quality, as well as fault finding procedures.

This little device plugs into your client’s network just behind the internet breakout. It runs a variety of tests and calls to assess the quality of the internet, protocols, firewall rules and others and then pushes these details to our cloud server. You can then log into the server and see the results.

An example of the network and firewall test is as follows:

The voice quality is presented as a MOS (Mean Opinion Score) metric. We all aim for 5’s but this is generally not going to happen unless you have spent a ton of money on firewalls etc. If you can get above 4.03, you are doing very well. Codecs, Jitter and latency all form a part of the MOS metric and so you want your entire system to be working well together. It is imperative to have a great quality internet for the best MOS!

See the below metrics:

As many of you would know, many concurrent calls often lead to degradation (particularly if you haven’t set up QoS/Prioritisation) of call quality. This device even tests for concurrency!

Latency and hops of the internet connection (egress and ingress) are all items that this device can report on. Brilliant for assessing where your trouble on the network comes from.

This ultimately gives you the information required, to advise clients on the way to make their voice the best that they possibly can.

The opportunities that arise from this information can definitely lead to improved sales of connectivity. It can also be a brilliant tool to help you get your voice services into (potential) new clients (especially when you are fighting against other voice providers) as the client can see the extra effort that you have gone to.

If you have a large client or call center, you may want to leave one of these devices in their network on a permanent basis. Scheduled reports are easily programmable, to ensure that your clients voice services are always operating at the optimum.
